Clients describe me as warm, safe & down to earth. They are often surprised by their tears and describe feeling lighter and noticing different thought patterns after therapy. I trust you as the expert of yourself and see my role as a curious and compassionate facilitator between you & all of the parts of you.
Amy has normalized so many experiences I have had in life, which has been wonderful. I have carried a lot of guilt, shame, and pain, and while I sometimes have lingering feelings, it is way less severe than I used to feel.
Amy is honest with me and gives feedback quickly. She pays attention, and I can tell she is truly listening to me. I never thought I would have this good of an experience with a therapist, as other therapists have made me feel uncomfortable or were unreliable.
If you're queer, I really recommend having a queer therapist. I am a lesbian and having that shared identity with Amy made it feel natural as we have many similar values and understanding of the world. Having that trust is so important to me to feel safe to tackle my anxiety and codependency and I'm just really grateful for Amy's voice in my life.
I was skeptical of brainspotting at first but after a few sessions I've noticed my beliefs about myself and the world changing. I'm less resistant to the idea of living a happy life and have been able to let go of some things I've been holding onto for a long, long time. Amy is great! She is kind, witty, and it's easy to connect with her.
Amy is just so welcoming, kind, and open to whatever I am going through or have went through in life. I am so grateful for her assistance over the past year and a half.
I now feel more calm, have less “anxiety” attacks, take on life at a slower pace, am more patient and kind with myself, live life the way I want to, take care of myself, stand up for myself, set boundaries, and prioritize myself first.
My husband even noted that he sees so much improvement in my mood, less anxiety and stress throughout the week, and more at peace. Amy is literally the best and again I am so grateful I started therapy with her.
I have some memories from childhood I've done my best to forget. They became too much and that led me to therapy. Amy introduced me to EMDR and Brainspotting. It felt so painful to remember some things but by the end of session the memory felt fuzzy and like it happened a long time ago. Living without flashbacks has helped me feel less heavy.
I could not name any other person I have come across in my life that has supported me, made me smile, made me cry (probably because I needed to), and been someone I am eternally grateful for. You have made an impact on me and countless others. You saw something in me that I hadn't even fathomed that was within myself.
My experience with Amy has been great. I was incredibly nervous about starting therapy, but Amy made me feel, and still makes me feel, very comfortable. She has a patient, calm and comforting approach which helps put me at ease. She provides positive encouragement and comforting comments throughout our sessions together.
I highly recommend Amy to anyone who is looking for a compassionate, dedicated, intentional, and trauma-informed clinician. Not only is she highly skilled in her field, but she genuinely cares about her clients and is invested in their healing!
I am pleased to wholeheartedly endorse Amy, an outstanding therapist who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to her clients. I have witnessed a level of compassion, cultural competence, and a genuine passion that sets her apart from other providers.
